The Wurld Needs Gurls, Amirite?!

I've never felt more proud and empowered than I did the day I found out that I'm having a girl.. A creator creating a creation that creates? WOW! Just the thought of it gives me chills (and some serious anxiety, but mainly good chills). I could harp on all of the negativity surrounding women in society but, why, when we're literal super hero's and the world's most majestic creatures? Trevor Noah says it in his latest comedy skit 'Afraid of the Dark', which I watched after its premier on Netflix - rightfully defending the strength of the vagina he performs a fairly lengthy ode to the "pussy".

"You ever come across a pussy? You realize the vagina can start revolutions and end wars?

Do you understand how strong it is? There's a reason men have sought to oppress it for so long. The vagina is frighteningly powerful. You realize human beings come out of the vagina? Human beings come out and it still continues to work as intended."

Ahh Trevor, big ups to you man. I'm glad we're on the same page about this one (and most other things).

“You just sit on a penis wrong and it breaks," Noah said. "'Don’t be a penis,' that should be the phrase. I wish I was a pussy."

With all that being said, I'm seriously considering filling my pockets with glitter every time that I leave the house so that when I see a pregnant woman I can throw it over her head and celebrate her. It's truly incredible how much the body changes and all it goes through during this process, only to be able to return to a state where it functions as intended when post partum. My mother always told me, "you can tell who the strong women are. They are the ones building one another up, instead of tearing each other down".

Let's continue to empower one another and share information to enlighten the girls who are still growing into beautiful women - it's imperative because those are the women who band together, those are the women who's vocabulary isn't filled with hatred, the one's creating important activist moments in history, and most importantly the one's who have learned to love themselves.

Fate loves the fearless so continue to empower one another, mind ya business, drink water, and stay sexy.
