Hi Friends!

The other day I spent a grueling few hours getting the registry together for my bundle of joy to get here, low and behold, it's not as fun as we all think it could be. Any way, I decided that the best thing I could do was go shoe shopping after that, baby gets some cute things, and the body being inhabited for a few months could get some cute stuff too. Fitting for the occasion, right? I thought so too. Until I got into these stores with shoes too high for comfort at 21 weeks pregnant, one's with lack of support, or maternity shoes (I wasn't even aware that was a thing?!). I found a nice pair of thigh high boots, got excited, texted something sexy to baby daddy about all the things I wanted to do in these boots.. and of course, my calves instantly began throbbing. Now, I'm sure many people experience this who aren't pregnant so here I am today to say, bye bye to those uncomfy thigh highs!

I took a trend that I discovered but didn't have an inherent interest in trying (until now) and put a slight twist to them. Sock boots! I've only ever seen them done as booties but I'm sure someone else has had the idea to turn these into thigh highs as well. All I did was take some pointed toe pumps that I already own and feel comfy in and stick some thigh high socks over them. You can keep them as is, sweet and simple, or take it up a notch with some old jewelry/fabric that you find taking up unnecessary space secured with fabric glue/krazy glue. If you want to make them more secure and turnt up then use a needle and thread to secure the items that you choose to design your socks with.

Pros:

- Comfy and warm

- Breathable and changeable (design wise)

- You can turn them back into your pumps at any time

- Stylish and inexpensive

Cons:

- With all that comfort, of course it comes at a price, the socks may have the tendency to slip down off of the thigh - solution - wear one's that are fitted or have elasticity at the top!

Until next time!

Stay sexy, mommylicious, a super hero without the cape - whatever it may be.

Click HERE for the sock boots that went viral earlier in the season by Carli Bybel, these can also be done with socks of all lengths.
